Engineering & Field Testing

Engineering & Field Testing are Air Science & Engineering core competencies; they apply to most projects.

Engineering - Chemical, mechanical and industrial hygiene engineering knowledge, skills and experience provide a solid basis for meeting the challenges posed by the client's needs. We identify the data necessary to understand the various factors impacting the problem, develop feasible and efficient solutions, and prepare drawings and documentation necessary for cost-effective installation. We work closely with the client's team throughout the project - fostering good communication and successful results.

Ventilation Testing - Flows, pressures, temperatures and airflow patterns are determined at key points. Examples: process exhausts; makeup air systems; process heaters and chillers; HVAC units; room circulation patterns; building circulation patterns.

Diagnostic Sampling - Generate data on key parameters necessary to solve problems. Develop specialized procedures if necessary. Examples: screening tests to verify the actual contaminants present; locate and rank order contaminant sources; quantify contaminant emissions rates for use in process models.

Performance Testing - Accurately quantify existing conditions. Compare performance to specifications. Examples: IT rack inlet temperatures, static pressures and flow along floor outlets in data center; commission newly installed or modified systems, prepare test reports for project records.
